Over 700 pupils shine at our annual Just Sing! event
Hundreds of voices filled The Derngate in Northampton on June 25th and 26th as we hosted our annual Just Sing! event, celebrating the vocal talents of children from across 29 of our schools.
More than 700 pupils took to the stage across two evenings, delivering energetic and heartfelt performances to an audience of over 1,000 proud family members. The young performers had been rehearsing since March, singing songs provided by Sparkyard.
The event was led by Sonia Clews, Headteacher at St Luke’s, and Rachel Moorhouse, Music Lead at William Law, with support from Donna Barnes. They brought the schools together in a celebration of music and community and highlighted the positive impact of extra-curricular activities on pupil confidence and well-being.
We are incredibly proud of every child who took part.
Here is what some of our pupils at Kislingbury CE Primary had to say about their experience.
I loved all the songs and all the actions. If I could, I would definitely go again because everyone was very respectful and kind.
I loved to sing with my friends and know that my family was watching.
I also enjoyed getting kazoos to play in the songs which made it lots more exciting
My favourite memory was singing with my friends and doing all the actions.
