and its goodbye from.....

After being at Towcester C of E Primary School for 6 years, Mr Richard Camp has decided to retire at the end of this academic year. He has been instrumental in helping the school develop and grow within the community of Towcester. He brought improved outdoor learning and international links to the school vision and has ensured that the children of Towcester have had optimum opportunity to try and experience new things and visit new places.

His ‘formal’ retirement event was an ‘International Café’; organised and run by the Year 5 children. Food on the menu was German, French, Spanish or British to acknowledge the links the school has. Teachers from both the German and Spanish link schools attended – 10 in total!

Mr Camp has been an impressive Head Teacher, both at Towcester and in Northamptonshire. His experience of teaching in England and abroad has impacted on others and left a clear message about the importance and value of communities and a celebration of different cultures.

He will be dearly missed by everyone at Towcester but is wished a very happy retirement – with much more time to travel the world!
